Why does Berberine Complex contain calcium?

The raw materials in the formula are prone to clumping. A small amount of Tricalcium Phosphate is added as an anti-clumping agent. This accounts for the 80mg of calcium shown in the supplement facts on the label.

Why do I need to take Berberine three times a day?
A:

For best results, Berberine is typically taken 30 minutes before meals. To support metabolic health†, it’s recommended to take Berberine in divided servings, 2–3 times daily.

The capsules in the bottle I just received don’t look quite as full as the capsules in the last bottle I had. Is this normal? And does this mean there’s less Berberine in the capsule?

What you’re seeing is normal and due to natural variation in the density and texture of the berberine material. In recent batches, we’ve observed that some berberine lots appear more fine and powdery, while others are more granular or clumpy. Even though they may look different, all lots are tested to ensure they meet potency, purity, and quality standards, including the correct amount of berberine per capsule.

Because berberine makes up a large percentage of each capsule, these visual differences can be more noticeable. We’re working closely with our raw material supplier to improve consistency in appearance, but please be assured the quality and dosage remain the same.
