What It Is

Cooper Complete® Zinc Lozenges is for individuals who need more than the 15 mg zinc contained in all Cooper Complete adult multivitamins.

How to Use:

As a dietary supplement, adults take one (1) lozenge 1-3 times daily; children age 4+ take one (1) lozenge daily, or as directed by your health care professional. Allow lozenge to dissolve in mouth or chew and then swallow. 10 mg Zinc (from Zinc Citrate) per lozenge. Each bottle contains 100 lozenges.

How It Helps

Cooper Complete® Zinc Lozenges supplements contain 10 mg bioavailable zinc per lozenge. Lozenges are orange-flavored and sweetened with the sugar-free sweeteners xylitol and mannitol. An essential mineral, zinc helps the body maintain healthy immune function.

The average American diet provides 13 mg zinc per day through food sources. An analysis of food frequency surveys suggests older adults have lower zinc intakes, even when food intake and supplementation is added together. Individuals with digestive diseases as well as alcoholics are also at risk for zinc deficiency. Cooper Complete Zinc Lozenges may be helpful for individuals who wish to increase their intake of zinc.

A review of randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trials using zinc lozenges (at or more than 75 mg per day) for common colds found zinc supplementation within 24 hours of the development of symptoms in healthy people reduced cold duration.

Each bottle of Zinc Lozenges contains 100 lozenges. Allow zinc lozenge to completely dissolve in the mouth. Adults may consume one (1) lozenge every two hours while awake, not to exceed ten (10) lozenges per day.

All Cooper Complete multivitamins contain 15 mg zinc. This supplement is an option for individuals who have been advised by their physician that they need additional zinc supplementation.

Q:	Do I need to take Zinc Lozenges with or without food?
A:	When possible, we suggest Zinc Lozenges be taken away from mealtimes as foods high in fiber can interfere with absorption.

Q:	Should I take this product if I am also taking Coumadin or Warfarin?
A:	If you are taking Coumadin or Warfarin, we recommend consulting your doctor before adding any supplements to your diet.

Q:	What zinc medication interactions should I be aware of?
A:	Consume the lozenge at least two hours before or four- to six hours after taking antibiotics. Talk with your healthcare provider if you are taking medications for rheumatoid arthritis, as zinc supplementation may lower the absorption of some medications.
