What It Is

Cooper Complete® Vitamin D3 25 mcg (1000 IU) Liquid Drops are for those who need more vitamin D than what they’ve absorbed through food and sunlight.

How to Use:

As a dietary supplement, take one (1) drop with a meal or as directed by your health care professional. Each liquid drop contains 25 mcg (1000 IU) of Vitamin D3. Each bottle contains about 1,200 drops/servings.

How It Helps

Cooper Complete Vitamin D3 25 mcg (1000 IU) Liquid Drops provide 25 mcg (1000 IU) of vitamin D3 in the cholecalciferol form in each drop. The drops are tasteless and in the D3 form of Vitamin D, which is more readily absorbed in the body than the vitamin D2 form.

Vitamin D3 25 mcg (1000 IU) Liquid Drops may help maintain healthy vitamin D levels, especially when lab tests indicate low levels.† Vitamin D deficiency is more common in people who:

  • Are 50 years or older (as the risk for deficiency increases with age)
  • Spend little time outdoors
  • Are of a darker skin tone
  • Live in northern latitudes
  • Work indoors
  • Exercise indoors rather than outdoors
  • Have limited skin exposure due to clothing choices when outdoors
  • Consistently wear sunscreen
  • Have a higher weight than recommended

Vitamin D is a fat-soluble prohormone that supports bone health and aids in calcium absorption. A growing body of research highlights Vitamin D’s role in several body systems:

  • Immune system support
  • Supports healthy inflammatory response
  • Supports positive mood and emotional well-being
  • Supports healthy bone density and strong teeth
  • Increases calcium absorption and balance
  • Supports metabolic health and blood sugar balance already within normal levels
  • Musculoskeletal health

This supplement is for individuals who need higher levels of vitamin D supplementation than the amount of vitamin D3 in Cooper Complete multivitamins. Original and Basic One multivitamins contain 50 mcg (2000 IU).

Each bottle contains about 1,200 liquid drops. The daily recommended serving is one drop or, as your physician or health care provider recommends, taken with a meal.

5 Questions
Ask a Question
Q:

In addition to vitamin D, are there other supplements I should consider for bone health?

A:

Osteoporosis is a major public health issue affecting bone health that is becoming more common in both women and men. Learn more about supplements that may support your goal of having and maintaining strong bones.

Q:

How do I know if I need to take supplemental vitamin D?

A:

The only way to know your vitamin D level is to have a blood test known as 25 hydroxyvitamin D. Because vitamin D comes from food, sunshine, and dietary supplements, the amount needed varies by individual. In blood tests, vitamin D (25-hydroxyvitamin D) is measured in either nanomoles per liter (nmol/L) or nanograms per milliliter (ng/mL). One nmol/L equals 0.4 ng/mL, so 20 ng/mL is the same as 50 nmol/L.

According to the National Institutes of Health, levels below 12 ng/mL (30 nmol/L) are considered too low and may impact bone health†, while levels above 50 ng/mL (125 nmol/L) may not offer additional benefit and are generally not recommended. Talk to your healthcare provider to determine if you need a vitamin D supplement based on your individual blood test results.

Q:

I understand vitamin D is fat-soluble. I need about 14,000 IU (350 mcg) of vitamin D per week. Can I take the vitamin D I need all at once, or do I need to take 2 drops per day?

A:

Because Vitamin D is fat-soluble, meaning it is stored in the body, you can take this product in the most convenient way for you. Either take 2 drops per day or 14 drops once per week. Since vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin, consuming it with food may help support better absorption.†

Q:

Does this product need to be taken with food?

A:

Yes. For optimal absorption, it’s best to take your vitamin D after a meal that contains some fat.† This helps your body absorb the vitamin more efficiently.

Q:

What does “liquid drops” mean?

A:

Each one-ounce glass bottle of Liquid Vitamin D3 contains about 1,200 single drops of vitamin D3. The dropper can be gently squeezed to dispense 1000 IU (25 mcg) of vitamin D per drop. The drop, which is tasteless, can be dispensed directly into your mouth, or if you prefer, placed atop applesauce, yogurt or another food that you consume with a spoon.
