Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to refrigerate the Omega-3 product once I have opened the bottle?

No, there is no need to refrigerate this product. Once you buy omega-3 supplements, whether you refrigerate or not, keep the bottle closed tightly, and store out of direct sunlight and away from humid and warm environments.

What are EPA and DHA and ALA

EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) Omega-3 fatty acids found in fish oil are vital nutrients for humans. They naturally occur in fish and seafood and work together in the human body.
ALA (alpha linolenic acid) is an omega-3 fat found in plants, (e.g. walnuts and flax). ALA does not perform the same biological functions as EPA and DHA. Research indicates it converts poorly (about 5% to EPA and less than 1% to DHA) and is not a reliable source of EPA and DHA.

I’ve heard that omega-3 can come in several different forms. What form is Cooper Complete Advanced Omega-3?

Cooper Complete Advanced Omega-3 consists of concentrated fish oil in the triglyceride (TG) form for optimal absorption.

I am allergic to fish. Is it OK for me to take this product?

No. You should not take Advanced Omega-3 if you are allergic to fish.

I already eat a lot of fish. Should I take this fish oil supplement?

If you eat four or more servings of fatty types of fish per week – such as salmon, trout, sardines or mackerel – you may not need additional omega-3 in your diet.

Is it safe to consume Cooper Complete Advanced Omega-3 supplements if I suffer from atrial fibrillation?

Yes. Studies indicate that omega-3 fatty acids may reduce the risk of sudden cardiac death by stabilizing the rhythm of the heart.
